JAZZMATIZZ: Jam Session

Termine sind ätzend so ätzend wie notwendig. Wie unverrückbare Monolithen warten sie an den Rändern unserer Lebenspfade, kalt, unerbittlich, gnadenlos. Irgendwann stehen wir dann vor ihnen, aufgeregt wie Schulkinder... nur um dann zu merken, dass es ja dann doch alles ganz gut gelaufen ist. Irgendwie. Wars schlimm?

Vier Pianisten und eine Pianistin haben den Auftrag bekommen, sich kompositorisch mit dem Komplex "TERMIN" auseinanderzusetzen. Wie lässt sich dieses Phänomen musikalisch und improvisatorisch im Jazz-Trio Format umsetzen? Seien wir gespannt, was die sieben Musiker über drückende Deadlines, verpasste Trams und endlose Minuten an roten Ampeln zu erzählen haben.

The appointment

Appointments are as dreadful as they are indispensable. Like unmovable monoliths they line the path of our life: cold and merciless. Time and again, we stand face to face with them. Only to realize afterwards that it all has worked out fine. Somehow. Was is it that bad?

Five pianists have been given the task to explore the complex topic of „appointment” through composition. How can a jazz trio translate this phenomenon into music and improvisation? We’re anxious to hear and see what the seven musicians have to tell us about pressing deadlines, missed trains and endless minutes at traffic lights.
