The Black Sorrows Verschoben auf den 30.09.2022

Dieses Konzert ist auf den 30.09.2022 verschoben.

"The Black Sorrows, are one of Australia's bands who continue to tour the world and have truly earned recognition as a dynamic live act and festival favourite. On stage, Joe Camilleri guides his band through an infectious interplay of different intoxicating musical styles, including blues, rock, old school R&B, with influences from jazz, country and brilliant building pop music. The "Black Sorrows have a large loyal fan base in Australia and Europe. Their musical skills and energy delight music fans around the world. One year after the end of his influential and successful band "Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons", Joe Camilleri founded "The Black Sorrows" in 1984 as a loose association of like-minded musicians. From the simple beginnings, like concerts in various cafés around Melbourne or selling albums from the trunk of his private car, Joe has developed the "Black Sorrows" into one of Australia's most sophisticated ensembles. And when the first radio stations to play the hit "Mystified" finally paved the way for success. The record company CBS/Sony signed the "Black Sorrows", and the numerous award-winning hits, such as the platinum-enhanced bestsellers "Hold On To Me", "Harley & Rose" and "The Chosen Ones" were made available to a worldwide audience. Joe's talent as a songwriter is highly appreciated even by the biggest names in the music business and recognized - artists like Elvis Costello and John Denver have recorded their own cover versions of Joe's songs. "The Black Sorrows have won the Australian music award ARIA as "Best Band", play to sold-out stages worldwide, and have sold more than 2 million albums. "The Black Sorrows will tour Europe in 2018 with their new 21st album. Together with Joe Camilleri (vocals/guitar/saxophone/harmonica), the band has an impressive line-up of Claude Carranza (guitar/vocals), Mark Gray (bass guitar/vocals), John McAll (keyboards/vocals) and Angus Burchall (drums).
